Summary of Projects funded by the Embassy around China

Since 2005, the Embassy has annually funded the work of Irish NGO Health Action Overseas (HAO) in China. HAO brings Irish experts to Anshun Teacher Training College to conduct a summer school in theory and latest international practices for teachers of children with special educational needs.

In 2005, New Chinalink received funding from the Embassy to repair water pipes in the remote hamlet of Dazhai, Zhenning County bringing fresh drinking water to 83 families.  The water is also used to rear livestock for cash economy.
