> ADOPTED CHILD OF AN IRISH CITIZENA person travelling on a Chinese passport must obtain a valid Irish visa in order to travel to Ireland . In order to obtain an Irish visa the Visa Office requires the following documents to be submitted on behalf of the child (the visa applicant):
The Visa Office does not require any additional documents or notarised certificates. The processing of such visa applications is provided free of charge. Please note that the above documents may be submitted by a third party, i.e. the Travel Agent, on behalf of the applicant and his or her parent(s). It is not necessary for the applicant and his or her parent(s) to present themselves at the Visa Office. Adoption visa applications are given priority over other application types. An application will take approximately thirty minutes to process. However, please note that in the case where a family is travelling with one or more other families then all applications will be accepted together as one group and documents will not be returned until the last application has been processed. In the case of large groups, applications may be lodged in the morning and collected in the afternoon, if convenient. The application may be lodged by either a parent of the child or by the assisting Chinese agent. All visa applications will be processed within one day.
